1. About These Terms

NautiStory (the “Service”) is owned and operated by NautiStory Development Team(“we,” “us,” or “our”).

The Service provides an environment where creators can develop, publish, and explore interactive literary works. By accessing, browsing, or using the Service — including any mobile applications or related features — you (“User”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service.

2. Who May Use the Service

2.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the Service. In jurisdictions requiring a higher minimum age (such as sixteen (16) under GDPR regulations), local laws will apply.

2.2 Legal Capacity

If you are accessing the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2.3 Ineligible Users

Individuals previously suspended, terminated, or otherwise prohibited from using the Service, or those acting in violation of applicable laws, may not access the Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and must promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.

4. Limited License to Use

4.1 Permission Granted

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to access and use the Service solely for creating, sharing, publishing, and interacting with literary content (“Stories”).

4.2 Ownership

All intellectual property rights related to the Service — including software, trademarks, branding, and proprietary materials — remain the exclusive property of the NautiStory Development Team.

4.3 Prohibited Activities

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or exploit the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes.

5. User Content & Standards

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of original stories, comments, and other materials you upload (“User Content”).

5.2 License to Us

You grant the NautiStory Development Team a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your User Content solely for operating and improving the Service.

5.3 Community Standards

User Content must:

(a) Be original or lawfully authorized;

(b) Not contain prohibited material such as hate speech, explicit sexual content, unlawful content, or misinformation.

(c) Respect all laws and third-party rights;

5.4 Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or community policies. Repeated violations may result in account termination.

6. Prohibited Behavior

Users may not:

• Introduce harmful code or interfere with Service operations;

• Bypass security or access controls;

• Use bots or automated tools without prior written consent;

• Impersonate others or engage in abusive behavior.

7. Fees and Payments

7.1 Payment Providers

Transactions are processed by third-party PCI-compliant providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We are not responsible for processor-related errors.

7.2 Paid Features

Certain functionalities may require payment. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

7.3 Taxes

Users are responsible for applicable taxes including VAT, GST, or sales tax.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed USD $500.

We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as available” and “as is.” We make no guarantees regarding accuracy, reliability, fitness for purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

We are not responsible for third-party links or services accessible through the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NautiStory Development Team against claims arising from your content, misuse of the Service, or breach of these Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

13. Miscellaneous Provisions

We may modify these Terms with prior notice. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

13.2 Severability

If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid.
